If you’re planning to use your card abroad, don’t forget to notify us before you travel. This means we’ll know you’re overseas and will expect foreign currency transactions on your account. The tables below show the cost of spending or withdrawing €100 using our credit cards and when you will pay more than one fee. The exchange rates used were the applicable rates for transactions processed on 18th November 2016.
The exchange rates we use for card transactions are determined by MasterCard, the payment scheme provider for your aqua card. For further information and other exchange rates and currencies see MasterCard.
You should note the following about withdrawing cash :
•There is a limit to the amount of cash that you may withdraw. This limit is set at £100 daily.
•“Cash” includes not only “ready money” but also “quasi cash” such as the purchase of travellers’ cheques or foreign currency using the card, finance payments and gambling transactions (including the purchase of lottery tickets).
•There is no interest free period when you withdraw cash or make any other cash transaction.
•You may be charged a fee for using the ATM from which you withdraw your cash.
In addition to the charges you will pay to use your card abroad, as shown in the table above, interest and other fees may apply if you fail to make your minimum payments on time or go over your credit limit.
