What to do when you first receive your card
Please sign the back of your new card immediately, taking care to write your usual signature. Before you’re able to start using your aqua card to make purchases or withdraw cash, you will also need to activate your new aqua card by phoning 0800 028 7777. This will only take a few minutes, but we need to confirm that you, and only you, have taken receipt of your card.
How to use your new aqua credit card
You can use your card to make purchases or withdraw cash wherever you see the MasterCard sign – that’s more than 24 million retailers and 600,000 cash points around the world. If you use your card to withdraw cash, there’s a charge of 3% (at least £3.00).
Whatever you use your aqua card for, you can do so with confidence. As responsible lenders our customers get straightforward credit limits and affordable monthly payments, which gives you financial freedom but helps you stay in control of your finances.
How your aqua credit card account works
You will receive regular statements showing all of your transactions since your last statement. You get up to 51 days’ interest free credit on purchases if you pay your balance off in full each month, but you can also spread the repayments by making monthly repayments from as little as 3% of your outstanding balance or £5 – whichever is greater. Obviously the best way to manage your account is to pay off as much of your balance as you can each month. That way you will clear your balance and associated interest sooner.
Making payments on your aqua credit card
It's really important that you manage your aqua card responsibly, this means you need to make at least the minimum payment each month - 3% of your outstanding balance or £5 – whichever is greater. There's a number of ways that you can make a payment on your aqua card account, find out how to pay now.
You also need to make sure you stay within your agreed credit limit. Managing your aqua card in this way may help you build or repair your credit history, and may mean we'll be able to consider you for a credit line increase too.
Adding an additional aqua cardholder
If you would like to include someone else (aged 18 or over) in your household as a second cardholder on your aqua credit card account, just ask. It’s completely free of charge and is simple to arrange by calling our 24-hour helpline on 0845 601 0436*. As the main cardholder, you remain responsible for all payments to the account.
Extra benefits you can add to your aqua credit card
